Gate stuck? We'll get it moving.

Automated sliding gate repaired and serviced by Tronic Electrical in Auckland

Gate Repairs & Servicing

A gate that won't open is more than an annoyance — it's your driveway blocked and your property unsecured. Tronic Electrical repairs automatic gates across Auckland: sliding gate motors, swing gate actuators, remotes and receivers, keypads, intercoms, safety beams and control boards.

We service all major automation brands — BFT, CAME, Motorline, Roger Technology, Centurion and Sebury among them — on gates we installed and gates we didn't. Because we manufacture and automate gates ourselves, our technicians diagnose the whole system: motor, electronics, wiring and the gate hardware it all hangs off.

Regular maintenance is the cheapest repair there is. Our customised servicing plans cover inspections, adjustments and lubrication on a schedule that suits residential, commercial and industrial gates — catching worn components before they strand your gate halfway.

Common faults

What we're called out to fix.

Gate Won't Open or Close

Dead motors, failed control boards, blown fuses and power supply faults. We carry common parts for BFT, CAME and Roger Technology systems, so most gates are moving again on the first visit.

Gate Stops Halfway or Reverses

Usually an obstruction sensor, safety beam alignment or limit setting issue — sometimes worn rollers or a track problem on sliding gates. We diagnose the cause rather than just resetting it.

Remote or Keypad Not Working

Remotes reprogrammed or replaced, receivers upgraded, keypads and GSM units repaired. If your remote works only up close, a receiver or antenna fault is the usual culprit.

Motor Runs but Gate Doesn't Move

Stripped gears, failed clutches or a disengaged manual release. Motor repairs where economic, like-for-like replacements where not — without replacing the whole system.

Gate Noisy or Grinding

Worn rollers, bearings and hinges make gates loud before they make them stuck. A service visit with adjustment and lubrication now beats a seized gate later.

Storm & Power Surge Damage

Auckland weather is hard on gate electronics. We repair surge-damaged control boards and transformers, and can fit surge protection so it doesn't happen twice.

FAQs

Common questions.

+Do you repair BFT gate motors?

Yes — BFT is one of the systems we install and service most. Our technicians repair, service and replace BFT sliding and swing gate motors, control boards and accessories across Auckland, alongside CAME, Motorline, Roger Technology, Centurion and Sebury systems.

+Can you fix a gate that another company installed?

Yes. We repair automatic gates regardless of who installed them. Because Tronic manufactures, automates and maintains gates in-house, we can service the automation and the gate hardware itself — hinges, tracks, rollers and all.

+My gate remote stopped working — do I need a technician?

Try the battery first. If a fresh battery doesn't fix it, the remote may need reprogramming or the receiver may be at fault — both quick jobs for our team, and we can supply new remotes for most brands on the spot.

+How often should an automatic gate be serviced?

For residential gates, once a year keeps rollers, hinges and safety devices in good order. High-cycle commercial and industrial gates should be serviced more frequently — our maintenance plans set the schedule to match how hard your gate works.

+Is my gate worth repairing, or should I replace it?

Most faults are repairable — motors, boards and accessories can all be replaced individually. If the gate itself has structural issues, or the automation is obsolete, we'll tell you honestly and quote options, from a new motor kit through to a replacement gate manufactured by our own team.
